Otomo Technical Wiki¶
Otomo is a game-agnostic backend framework for online games: player identity, content patching, social sessions and lobbies, game-server allocation, a staff admin plane, and observability. It runs as a Docker Compose stack of Go services behind a TLS edge. It doesn't depend on any particular game: a game brings its content, its game servers and its client, and otomo runs everything around them.
This wiki is built from the docs/ directory of the otomo repository. It holds the
technical design, the onboarding material, and the setup guide for adopting otomo in your
own project.

Design documents¶
The numbered documents under Design are the technical design, one per component or decision. They're written to be read in order, but each stands alone:
- Foundations: common stack, identity contract, HTTP packets
- Services: Dashboard, Config, Patch, Session, Gateway, Auth
- Planes: admin plane, player plane, Godot SDK guide
- Launching games: launch hand-off, Allocator and public edge, wiki service
Test records hold the acceptance evidence for each delivered ticket.
